Weekend Activities

We have had a great weekend. The boys didn't have school Friday or tomorrow. We have just hung out and it has been great. Friday we slept in, cleaned, played, and ran a few errands. Yesterday a bunch of the same with a trip to Studio Movie Grill to watch Monsters vs Aliens added in. Today we met up with my brother and his family for lunch (they were in town for LTC) and have since been napping. Tomorrow my mom flies in to visit for a few days. It has been a great relaxing long weekend. So here's the pictures of our easter activities.

Yesterday we made rice krispie treats in the shape of eggs and then dipped them in chocolate and sprinkles. We decided we need to do this every year. Ryland said we even need to make different shapes for every holiday. I guess this one was a winner.

Of course we decorated a few eggs also.

Leland and the kids went to the store without me the other day and came home with some tulips. They hadn't bloomed yet at the time so it has been fun watching them open up.

OK. I think the days are gone that you can honestly say you had a "great relaxing long weekend." Don't you think it is a little dishonest to put all the sweet adorable pictures of the children smiling, sleeping, hugging each other, when you know in your heart that imperfection has finally set in your household? You make it seem that it is like heaven on earth in your household when NOW you live in the REAL world ... Reese has been set lose and the world needs to know that habitation on the earth amongst mankind is about to change for all. In all honesty, where are the pictures of the soap crystals around the mouth, the toothpaste rash on the body, the desitin covered face and the vacuum cleaner up the nose! Huh? Are you not going to let the world know that now maybe the Mallets are normal? That eventhough 2 children are near perfect, that now the 3rd child is going turn the peaceful household upside down? I think you should search your heart and tell the real story ... Reese is taking front and center stage and is demanding full attention! P.S. I am glad I leave this anonymously

Oh Donna. I was trying to fool the world a little longer, but you let the cat out of the bag. Yes, Reese is "normal" I guess, but I don't have any pictures of her adventures of the last week. I'll try to be better about documenting.

I am ready for an update. You take the most adorable pictures and I miss the kids everyday I don't see them. This blog should be the most popular on the internet! I love your family so much.
