I know I haven't updated in forever, but I have to tell you about last night. We dropped the girls off at babysitting co-op at our church. Then Leland, Ryland and I headed to the Rangers stadium. The company I do a little work for here shares a suite with several other companies. Last night was the last time they had the suite for this season so my boss invited me and my family to join them. So it was a free way to get into the game for us. So as we were driving by the stadium headed to the parking lots, a man knocked on our window. He had an extra parking pass and wanted to give it to us. So free parking also. So we head to the suite and check in with the security guard. I quickly realize this is not the same type of suite I went to with my brother back in July. These are the office suites. Very, very nice. They had On The Border cater - so free food. Ryland ate so much. We don't know where he packed all that food. It was very tasty and nice. Leland finally got to meet the people I work for and with at this event. After a while we asked if it was possible to go down to the regular viewing area to walk around. We were given directions and headed down. We got confused so asked the nice security guard at the desk where to go. He explained that you have to purchase a ticket, but that ticket booth is on the opposite side of the stadium. So he walked us to the nearest gate and told the ladies to walk us in - without a ticket. So free entry. Ryland played a few of the games in the kid area and we watched fireworks for a home run up close. We ran into that same security guard and thanked him again. He was obviously a grandpa because he explained that he just wanted our son to get to play some games and the hassle of a ticket wasn't worth that. We then went back up to the suite to thank them and say good-bye. As we headed out to the car Leland said "this is a night you should blog about." We had a lot of fun and it was all FREE. What a great evening.j
