I just realized that it has been 3 weeks since I posted last. Since it is mainly family that reads this anyway, I figure they know what my life has been like this month. Since I work for a CPA, April is an extrememly busy and stressful month. I did survive tax season this year but was truely exhausted every evening. I now have a deadline today so that has been my focus for the past two weeks. So that explains my absence. :)
I did have a nice day off on the 18th (we always close the office they day after tax-day). Since it was a Wednesday, the kids were at "school" so I got a pedicure and manicure, ate with my girlfriends, and had a sonogram. What a fun day! The sonogram was a follow-up to see where my placenta had decided to reside. Thankfully it has moved up out of the way so it won't be a problem during birth. So it really was a good day.
This past weekend we took a quick trip to the metroplex. Leland had an interview Friday morning so we decided we should all go and have some family time before the baby arrives. We went to the Ft Worth Zoo Friday afternoon. The kids loved it. Unfortunantly I left my camera in the car so I don't have any pictures of the outing but they did love it. We were able to eat supper Fri with my high school yearbook advisor and her husband also. It was a nice little getaway that was much needed.
So on to another month I guess. After today I will be getting things ready at my office for me to be gone with the baby. There is so much catching up to do after tax season ends that I'll probably end up just putting lots of sticky notes around. :) I go back to the dr Wednesday and then I'm on to the weekly appts until she decides to arrive. I have been having lots more contractions this time around so I'm really hoping it is soon. I don't like the thought of these lasting for another month! But I guess we all have to be patient (something Ryland is having a hard time with - he is so ready to meet his new baby sister).
I hope everyone had a good April and will enjoy their May.

Easter Time
Ryland's class getting ready to take off for the eggs.
Ryland and his best friend Nathaniel.
Ryland's party.
Leland's sister Lesa came to town on Wednesday also. She was able to stay through Saturday and the kids loved having her here. Single aunts are always so much fun. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of her with the kids to document the trip but lots of fun was had by all.

Notice the shorts and the flip-flops. :)
Saturday included some surprise snow playing. I still can't believe it actually snowed in April this far south. Ryland had a great time though making snow balls and tromping around. We also colored our eggs Saturday evening. We've talked the kids into waiting until at least tomorrow for our egg hunt since the forecast is predicting warmer weather again. So hopefully tomorrow evening will work out.
Ryland enjoying the snow. He just loves it.
Today has been a nice family day. We took the kids picture outside this morning because we needed to document the Easter Sunday with snow. Luckily Raylee is a very warm natured girl and we did it really quick. :) We also always love our Sunday afternoon nap with everyone in our bed. It is always a special time.
They love to hug.
We missed the sandals she's wearing. Snow was not expected when I bought the outfit.

Checking out the pretty dress.

Last Saturday
Last Saturday was a bad/good day. The day began with me injuring Raylee's arm. She had been playing around our bed while we were still enjoying a few more minutes of rest. She wanted up with us and only gave me one arm. While trying to bring her closer for me to grab the second arm, I pulled something in her arm. Now she is one tough cookie and so when she wouldn't use the arm and cried badly anytime it moved, we got worried. We tried to call her doctor but they weren't open on Saturday. We tried every other ped in town with no luck. After some Tylenol, she fell asleep so we decided to wait on the ER until she woke up and we assessed her condition then. She took a nice long nap and seemed much better but not 100% yet. We kept going back and forth on if the ER was necessary. Suddenly mid-afternoon, Leland tricked her into using it and she was amazingly healed. I must have just pulled something enough to make it sore. So in the end, Raylee is fine and survived the ordeal.
Introducing Dude and Wild.

Since the original plan for the day had been to go fishing, we continued (after Raylee's healing) and went to fish. One of the teachers at the high school had given Leland permission to fish on his stocked ponds anytime we wish. Once Raylee learned her parameters, she loved it. She loved walking around the ponds and watching the duck. Ryland and Leland had a good time fishing also. They never did catch any catfish because there were so many perch that kept eating the bait instead. But Ryland loved to throw them back in anyway. He finally did catch a perch on his own rod just before we decided it was getting too chilly.
