Last Saturday

I really intended to have posted last weekend but the pictures I took ended up on the actual camera instead of the memory card. We couldn't locate the camera cord until today. So here's what you've been waiting on.

Last Saturday was a bad/good day. The day began with me injuring Raylee's arm. She had been playing around our bed while we were still enjoying a few more minutes of rest. She wanted up with us and only gave me one arm. While trying to bring her closer for me to grab the second arm, I pulled something in her arm. Now she is one tough cookie and so when she wouldn't use the arm and cried badly anytime it moved, we got worried. We tried to call her doctor but they weren't open on Saturday. We tried every other ped in town with no luck. After some Tylenol, she fell asleep so we decided to wait on the ER until she woke up and we assessed her condition then. She took a nice long nap and seemed much better but not 100% yet. We kept going back and forth on if the ER was necessary. Suddenly mid-afternoon, Leland tricked her into using it and she was amazingly healed. I must have just pulled something enough to make it sore. So in the end, Raylee is fine and survived the ordeal.

While waiting for Raylee's "healing," the boys decided to make sock puppets. Now my husband is one awesome dad. He actually sewed the stuff on himself! Now do realize that they are kind of like some dogs - so ugly they're cute. :)

Introducing Dude and Wild.

Raylee sporting her sunglasses. She loved them.

Since the original plan for the day had been to go fishing, we continued (after Raylee's healing) and went to fish. One of the teachers at the high school had given Leland permission to fish on his stocked ponds anytime we wish. Once Raylee learned her parameters, she loved it. She loved walking around the ponds and watching the duck. Ryland and Leland had a good time fishing also. They never did catch any catfish because there were so many perch that kept eating the bait instead. But Ryland loved to throw them back in anyway. He finally did catch a perch on his own rod just before we decided it was getting too chilly.

Great pictures. Ryland looks so grown up and Raylee is such a little diva in those sunglasses!
