My 100

1. I'm almost 31 years old.
2. I've been married for 9 years.
3. I was engaged twice - both to Leland.
4. I called the first one off because of many reasons.
5. We went to a wonderful Bed & Breakfast in Durango, Colorado for our honeymoon.
6. It was called the Apple Orchard Inn.
7. We plan to go back next year on our tenth.
8. I have 3 kids.
9. Ry is 5, Ray is almost 2, Ree is 4 months.
9a. All were born on a Wednesday.
10. I currently work from home.
11. I'm enjoying my time with the girls.
12. I also spend lots of time helping Leland on the publications.
13. I have 2 crazy brothers, 3 wonderful sister-in-laws, 1 niece, 1 nephew, and 1 on the way.
14. I have 2 wonderful parents and 2 wonderful in-laws.
15. I really enjoy cleaning my kitchen.
16. It relaxes me and makes me happy.
17. I enjoy cooking if someone else will tell me what to cook.
18. I tend to get in a rut and cook the same things.
19. My biscuits are quite popular though.
20. So is my oatmeal cake.
21. OK - both recipes came from my mother and came from the famous "Green Cookbook."
22. I can't handle my house or my workspace being in chaos.
23. I don't necessarily keep things clean, but always picked up.
24. I despise dusting.
25. We conned my brother into dusting years ago and so I haven't done it much since.
26. Dust doesn't bother me as much as Leland.
27. It bothers my allergies more than my annoyances.
28. I'm enjoying our new town.
29. It doesn't feel like city to me.
30. I also enjoy all the amenities of the city.
31. I don't miss Big Spring too much.
32. I am missing my best friend though.
33. I hope to visit New York and Switzerland one day.
34. I tend to be mistaken for snobbish.
35. I'm actually just uncomfortable with new people.
36. I graduated valedictorian.
37. I was the president of the band, FHA, editor of the yearbook, and secretary of the choir my senior year.
38. It was obviously a small school.
39. I worried way too much about doing the best and being perfect growing up.
40. I used to joke with my parents and ask what would happen to me if I did something wrong.
41. I didn't talk on the phone much; I didn't "hang" with friends; I went to bed early; not much to ground me from.
42. We decided that forcing me to practice the piano would be punishment enough.
43. I began piano lessons in the 2nd grade.
44. My extremely talented brother began in Kindergarten because he could play my pieces better than I could.
45. I enjoy playing the piano but don't consider myself good at it.
46. I'm a "recipe" girl. I have to have the piano music when playing, the recipe when cooking, and the pattern when sewing.
47. I do sew also.
48. I took HomeEc all 4 years of HS.
49. Hence the president of FHA.
50. I think it's sad they changed the name from Future Homemakers of America to something more political.
51. I've always sewn the kids Halloween costumes, but I'm purchasing this year.
52. I have more important things to do with my time.
53. I have washed my husband's cell phone twice now.
54. Last time we were able to kind of see the screen so we still retrieved the phone numbers.
55. Not this time.
56. He's not very happy with me about it.
57. I have issues with emptying pockets when doing the laundry.
58. I feel the wearer should empty and not me.
59. All money found in the washer is mine also - payment as I see it.
60. I enjoy singing a lot.
61. I grew up 15 miles outside of town so my family always sang in the car.
62. I was in the A Cappella chorus in college.
63. I really miss the constant opportunities to sing like I had in college.
64. I love drinking Dr. Pepper, milk, and unsweet tea.
65. I always have a pitcher of tea in the frig these days.
65a. I could drink a gallon of milk a day if it wasn't so expensive.
66. I've become addicted to Mexican food lately.
67. I'm usually not too fond of it.
68. My favorite restaurant is the Cracker Barrel.
69. I love that I can go there whenever I want to now.
70. I love chocolate.
71. I eat a handful of chocolate chips periodically to tide over my chocolate craving.
72. I enjoy skiing - both snow and water.
73. I haven't done either in a long time.
74. I always seem to be pregnant when I have the opportunity to snow ski.
75. I haven't had the opportunity to water ski in many years.
76. I do not like to read - never have.
77. Not a good thing being married to an English/Journalism teacher.
78. I have worked as the bookkeeper at the LCU Library, the attendance clerk at Big Spring HS, and an administrative assistant/bookkeeper for a CPA.
79. I hope to teach accounting and business when all kids are in school.
79a. My bachelors is in Accounting.
80. I am a morning person.
81. So is Raylee.

84. Not so good in the winter when it gets dark in the 6 o'clock hour.
85. I've never been to a concert - but I don't think I'm missing too much.
86. I enjoy watching Law & Order SVU and CSI Miami.
87. Now that I'm home most of the day I watch both all day long.
88. I enjoy submarine movies.
89. Hunt for Red October is my favorite.
90. I rode my first roller coaster on my 1st anniversary.
91. Leland and I went to Six Flags to celebrate and he talked me into it.
92. I'm just not fond of the "loosing your stomach" sensation.
93. That's why I can handle the Batman.
94. I broke my arm when I was a kid because I fell off my bike.
95. I haven't had any other injuries or hospital visits except for baby related.
96. I was induced with all 3 kids.
96a. Good thing. They weighed 8 lbs 3 oz, 8 lbs 10 oz, and 9 lbs 4 oz.
97. I had 2 miscarriages between Ryland and Raylee.
98. I was very cynical with the 2nd one. I never believed it would last - which it didn't.
99. I think we are finished having kids.
100. I always wanted 4 but 3 is tiring especially with 2 of them 18 months apart.
101. I'm impressed I came up with 100. I didn't think I could do it when I was around #12.

You realize you will need to make an oatmeal cake when we come visit, right? Nice 100. I knew almost all of yours, too. Well, I didn't know all of your offices in high school.

Wow, I learned some things I did not know! Like, you've never been to a concert? And you washed Leland's cell phone AGAIN? (Ha!) I'm glad we're friends, and I miss you too.

Oh, your comment about dust sounds like Leland bothers you. Ha.

I didn't realize that until you mentioned it Kelly. How funny. I'm glad you know what I mean.

Great list! I learned several new things about you and found out we have several things in common. I, too, am a recipe and piano music girl. I also love Law & Order SVU and CSI Miami. Thanks for sharing!

I'm about to be 31 too! We're getting old, but just think about how blessed we are. That was a great 100!
