So Disappointing

According to the weather man we should be iced and snowed in today. Leland and I were really hoping that would be the case, but as usual the weather man was wrong. The cold rain has finally started this morning and "they" are saying sleet and snow by this afternoon and evening but we'll see. We were so hoping for an early start to the weekend but I guess it is a day of regular routine. Grammy went ahead and headed home yesterday to beat the storm. The kids are back at their school today excited to see everyone. My parents may or may not make it here to deliver my mom. I guess we'll have to wait and see how accurate the weather man is again.

You would think that I have lived in the south long enough to know that the weather man is usually wrong with the weather around here but I grew up in the panhandle of Oklahoma where we saw quite a bit of snow. We had a blizzard the weekend after I turned 16 so driving on snow was what I was used to (and the fact that my dad gets giddy at the idea of driving in snow). So I tend to still believe the weather man a little too much sometimes but days like today remind me that they are only human also and that God can do what he wants to with the weather around here and can fool us all. :)

So maybe we'll have snow tonight and tomorrow for Ryland to play in and enjoy. If not, we'll just enjoy the warm house and the good family time.
