I just love my Ryland.

The things he comes up with to say just crack us up sometimes. Yesterday evening Ryland and I sat down to start a game of Super Mario Brothers on the ancient Ninendo (yes we still play it along with the new version). Leland had already been the super husband and had cleaned the kitchen and ran a load of dishes. He had returned to the kitchen to unload the dishwasher and asked for assistance. Ryland quickly responded with "Raylee is a sleep, AJ is a dog, Pumpkin is a cat, and mom and I are playing a game so you have to do it by yourself Dad." We wondered where he was headed when he started out with "Raylee is asleep" but we both lost it when "AJ is a dog" was next. Very good logic if you ask me. :)

We had a nice weekend though. Leland luckily made it back in one piece on Saturday from Dallas. They decided to skip the UIL meet and just try to make it home before the ice got too bad. After about 7 hours, they did arrive home before dark. We were all very thankful. Church services were cancelled Sunday because of the ice so we had a nice day of family time (I did put in about 8 hours of work over the weekend though). Leland doesn't have school today and if the roads are clear enough his mother is coming to stay for the week. I'm still headed to the office today but have decided to wait until the sun comes up a little more before venturing out on the roads.

I hope everyone survived their weekend and made the most of it if you were iced in also. I am scheduled for my big sonogram tomorrow so I hope to be announcing what the sex of our baby is - we are so curious to find out! Enjoy your Monday.
