Ryland was so excited all weekend. He was so excited last night he couldn't sleep. He was so excited this morning. Our friend Donna came to the house to watch the girls so that I could take Ryland by myself (thanks again). We left earlier than we needed to, but there was too much excitement to wait any longer. He bounded all the way to his classroom so excited to see Mrs. Roos. He was so excited, he didn't even tell me good-bye. I helped him put his backpack away and slowly worked my way down the hall. I went to pay for some lunches and decided to go back to check on him. He was already coloring way. He smiled and waved and went right back to coloring. He is going to love Kindergarten.
Raylee is going to have an adjustment too. When I returned home, she promptly went looking around. She reappeared around the corner shrugging her shoulders and said "boys?" She is definitely going to miss her playmate. I'm sure she'll be anxious for Reese to get bigger and able to play soon.
It is strange just me and the girls. We've been just the 3 of us before, but knowing this is the routine for an entire school year is tough. I'm going to miss my little boy. He has always been with me. From the time he was born, he went to work with me. He did start going to a mothers day out program but that was only 5 hours 2 days a week - not the same as kindergarten. I'm so excited for him but sad I won't be with him as many hours in a day. Leland and I were talking last night that we aren't really sad he is going to school but sad knowing that once he starts school time will fly and he'll be graduating before we know it.

He looks so big! I'm so glad that he had fun this morning. I'm sure that made it a little easier on you. I will talk to you soon...
Glad to hear he was so excited about his first day of kindergarten! All of your kids are just adorable!!
Congratulations to Ryland! I can't believe he is in kindergarten- it really does seem like yesterday that we went to the hospital to see him as a baby boy!
