August 31 - A Big Day with New Things

Well we've made the plunge. We now own a minivan! Yes we bought a 2007 Saturn Relay last night We have been looking into them lately deciding which make and model we like. We liked the Relay for the space. It doesn't have all the nifty storage spots some others have, but we were into lots of room. Ryland loves the DVD player with cordless headset. He wanted to watch a movie this morning on our way to work (a 10 minute drive). I already am enjoying the space. So I guess now we are the all American family - Dad, Mom, son, daughter, dog, cat, fish, "soccer mom-mobile". :)

The other new item is our roof. We had a hail storm earlier in the year and insurance totaled almost all of the roofs on our block. The roofers showed up before 7 am yesterday! Luckily I had been up for some time already. So when we finally got home last night we admired our new roof in the dark, in the rain. It looks really good though. It is a better quality roof than the one we had before so our house looks really nice from the street now.

I guess that is all the new things in our world. Raylee is still sick. She is so sore from coughing that she just cries after each cough. It does seem to be letting up some so maybe she is finally on the mend. It has been a long two weeks with her not feeling up to par. But luckily her daddy's arm does wonders - she loves to cuddle with him.
